Saturday, 1st August 2015 Binusian from every UKM open up an Expo, i charge to bgdc room and signing up myself, but i didn’t bring enough money so i must wait next week. While wasting my time waiting for the next session i’m playing card game with bgdc members.It’s was fun, we play combo, a card game about combining element and try to defeat another player. It’s a long game to be honest, 3 hours we played and only 2 player defeated not to mention that 2 player can rejoin the game under certain circumstances, and that’s the only i did on expo nothing else, i don’t have any interest on other UKM. Because i didn’t bring enough money i went again to the next expo. After i register ,i play another combo game for 4 hours this time and we still couldn’t finish the game.

12 September 2015, Things become intensified. i arrived at vicinity 7.30, they’re playing Mr Peabody & Sherman. Well why not, i watched it while i was waiting for the event to start. It takes one and a half time of a movie for them to be ready.Intro about all of HIMTI lecturer and song kinda nice for an appetizer. After that a talk show about a successful entrepreneur, i don’t really like talk show so i didn’t really focus on it. After that we got a lunch! yay! and they continue Big Hero 6 , so another yay i guess.

When it’s break time we could go see their exhibition. They got stuff that they make and foods. I only observing that time because it’s too crowded and i don’t really like to line up. Break time was over time to continue with the meal. They play some games and after that they played some drama about HIMTI i guess? i don’t know, i didn’t paid too much attention. As far as i know, i think it’s about a freshmen dilemma to join up HIMTI or not, and after he got influenced by his friend he decided to join up but again another conflict arrived he was mad because his idea wasn’t used by their group and gone mad then he put a wager that their group wont reach 1 million viewers on youtube and he lost became good guys , fall in love with the dorky girl that became pretty long story short it’s a cliche bad guys turn good and fell in love with the heroine , but the ending is kinda twist which spice the story a bit, that the main bad guys didn’t get the heroine. it kinda shock me a bit.

I think this is the best part, the dessert. First we got band which is nice , the band play tons of song, i forgot the titles but pretty much 80% of it is about love, after that we got door prizes yay! and i won nothing.Finally things begin to heat up.There is DJ light some crazy music and DRONE Hell yeah drones man!!! We dance jump just it’s like a mass seizure but with no seizure. At last every story must come to an end. We went home by bus and mine got delayed because i chose the second shift, and we got souvenir, got clothes, a magazine(?) i guess, some useful CD ooh and don’t forget the drinks got oolong tea and caffeine a.k.a coffee and many more.

A month after general orientation (yes a month, because there’s so many freshmen, Binus has to divide us to 5 different battalion) i have to continue my journey in AO ( Academic Orientation) or in other words Orientation about how binusian attend class. It’s also the first time i live by myself, because it’s my first time i can’t sleep at all until four a.m. I took a shower and change my clothes, but it’s still four in the morning i’m kinda lazying around in bed.Things happened, i slept and woke up at 7 a.m, gotta go fast to the campus. Panicked i got lost around my kost. I arrived in class at 7.30 nearly lost my lungs and legs , lucky enough because it’s my first day my lecturer has forgiven my sin. First day at AO me and my class got a heavy blow from algorithm. My brain couldn’t function properly thanks to the never ending holiday and exhaustion.So i have to act like i understand everything while slowly recover from my fatigue.

The next day we still study algorithm, but this time i have slept enough and didn’t come late.Few of my friend though was unfortunate, they came late and couldn’t enter the first shift.We study the algorithm deeper, learning about multiple possibilities and stuff.

As AO continues nothing really exciting happen. Just some ordinary day peaceful, until the Test arrived. Before the exam we were given one day off so we could prepare our self but that’s when the problem begin. The nightmare started at Wednesday morning, i start my day with playing few games for about 1 or 2 hours. Then i decided to install Visual Studio 2010 so i could practice coding. The thing is i don’t know why , i don’t know how , but i couldn’t create a new file. I could open the program ,oh yes indeed i can but once i press the new project , bad things start to erupt. Some error with .dll thing that i don’t know. I start to searched the solution on the internet, the problem is i couldn’t find any. So i decided to uninstall the program and tried to install the newest visual studio.Guess what? Another error appear as like my computer mock me in the face. After excruciating 15 hours trying to find the solution, yes i didn’t exaggerate (i’m trying to find the solution since 11 a.m to 2 a.m in the morning) in the end what i found is null. So i decided to “screw this i’m out” and go to get some sleep.

The judgement day, i didn’t study anything except from the photos that my friend upload in our Line group, i became depressed , i didn’t take a shower because i wake up late, oh man it’s just a painful day. After all of those disaster i only manage to get 1.9 out of 5, well better than i expected and i manage to finish the game design test, so it’s kinda good i guess.Looks like God has not forsaken me in those agonizing moment in my life.

      27 July 2015, The first day i set my foot on Binus. I feel a little obnoxious, because it’s my first time in Binus and i don’t have anyone that i can relied on. All of my old friends go to another university and some of them are out of java island. Still i must fulfill my dream to revolutionise indonesia gaming industry.So i have no other choice but to make new friends in here. That day i met some new people, they were nice but i still miss my old pal.After few minutes chatting with my new friends, we’re told to go inside the room , inside we met our BC (Buddy Coordinator) they’re nice too.The First thing we do is intruduction, why we chose this major. When it’s my turn i told everybody that i want to work at valve. The truth is i don’t really know if i want to work at valve or make my own company.

       The next day, it started at 8 a.m, but i arrived at 6 cause it takes 1 hour from home to reach here if i’m not stuck in traffic jam.Today i’m wearing white shirt and black trousers, it’s a must and every new students wore it so we could be identified by other binus student that we’re a freshmen. Inside class we were taught by our BC about 4 years ahead, starting from orientation , enrichmen, peforming, and achieving achievement.

       We were told to bring 2 balloons with us. At first i thought my friend already reserved 2 balloons for me, but i forgot to write my name in his list, so he didn’t know that i want to reserved the balloons. i couldn’t blame him from my own mistakes, so i have to think another way around.The first thing that come to mind is making my own balloons, but it uses hydrogen instead of helium. I thought it would be a great idea, then i recall that hidrogen is flammable, in other words if i bring that balloons, it’s the same as i bring a time bomb. So i tried to ask my parents if they have friends or anyone that know about balloons vendor. Lucky enough my cousins know a balloon guy and that balloon guy sold his balloon in front of Binus every year. I manage to booked four balloons for myself and in case my friend forgot to bring the balloons i can give him/her my balloons. The balloons were use for freshmen ceremony which later released when it’s done. After the ceremony we’re guided by our BC to Anggrek campus.From that day onward our Orientation will be held there.

         The next day is by far the shortest orientation we got. It only last for two hours approximately. That day we’re told about how we do our test and how to print and take care of our KMK .

        On the fifth day we went straight to the auditorium. In there every UKM in Binus advertise their activity, starting from computer club to outdoor activity. At first i was confuse because there are so many UKM that i can choose.But i then decided to choose bgdc because it’s literally like GAT offspring. After the show we were divided to our respective religion, and guided to separate room so we could fulfill our spiritual needs.

     The sixth day or we could say our last day on general orientation. Today we could register our self to the UKM that we wanted. Before we do that we went to HIMTI room, where we could purchase HTTP tickets and if we want to be part of HIMTI community we could sign our self up, but i didn’t want to sign up ,cause… i don’t know,i just don’t feel like it. After that our BC tour us around campus then we could sign up to UKM that we have chosen. I went straight to bgdc, but unfortunately i don’t have enough money to sign up, disappointed i have no choice but to wait for the next expo. Finish signing up we met up in front of HIMTI room so we could go together to Syahdan Hall. Inside we sang our yell yell and having our last moment together as an orientation group. We saw our BC sing their yell yell too,it’s funny seeing them dancing as a group but not synchronize at all.After all of that my group get together and took a picture for a memento, quite sad but life must go on.
